New Cybersecurity Threats in 2019

Internet of Things (IoT) Device Threats

Businesses are now offering more and more devices to their solutions and a lot of these devices don’t have security plans in place. Companies that want to stay safe should implement a process and management for updating all IoT devices.

Geopolitical Risks

If your business data is stored offshore in for example Russia, China, North Korea or Iran, geopolitical risk could also be a potential cyber risk, which could have potential risk to your business outcome.

Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)

XSS area attacks are one of the leading vulnerability types allowing attackers to use business websites to apply untrusted code in a victim’s browser. This makes it easy for them to act as the company when interacting with a user to steal their cookie information. This can then be used for authentication to hijack the site.
