We had Martin from Vertex conduct a cyber security audit on our accounting and financial planning practice with 24 staff. Given Covid required a lot of our staff to work remotely and we were concerned about our data security and wanted to make sure we were managing this risk as best as possible. Martin conducted a thorough review, including detailed interviews with key staff to understand which systems we used and how we used them. At the end of the process we were provided with a detailed report and meeting with Martin to go through the risks identified and formulate an action plan to address the risks, starting with the critical ones. We are now working with our IT services team to complete these action items and as a business have far more piece of mind that we have been able to resolve some key data security improvements.
