Microsoft Uses AI to Find More Vulnerabilities Than Ever, Make Sure You Patch Now

The cyber security landscape has witnessed an unprecedented event that demands the immediate attention of organisations worldwide. Microsoft has released its June 2026 Patch Tuesday update, addressing approximately 200 security flaws. This massive release vastly surpasses the previous record of nearly 170 vulnerabilities set in October 2025, highlighting a significant shift in how software weaknesses are identified and remediated.

Understanding the Scale of the Threat

Security specialists have noted that the window between the public release of a patch and the active exploitation of that vulnerability by cyber criminals is shrinking rapidly. The June 2026 update contains critical information for businesses, including:

  • Approximately 200 distinct software vulnerabilities resolved within Microsoft systems

When combined with third-party updates for widely used applications such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, the total number of security patches facing enterprises approaches 600.
