Learn How To Detect Cyber Fraud

It is highly likely your home is a cyber target, thus making working from home a cyber target for your business. Learn how to detect cyber fraud when you see it. Your business security is our top priority and knowledge is a powerful defence against fraud.

Know the scams
Scammers use different tactics to get victims to fall for their schemes. In some cases, scammers come across as friendly, sympathetic and seem willing to help. Others can use fear to persuade you to click on a link or open an attachment.

The best ways to avoid being scammed
Don’t respond:

If you’re not 100% certain of the source don’t click on the link in the email and don’t reply to the text message.

Don’t give your personal information:

Never provide any personal information unless you’re absolutely sure the person and reason are legitimate. Remember: legitimate companies never ask you to send your personal information over text, email or online.
Research before taking action:
If the organisation seem suspicious, make sure they’re making a legitimate request by calling the organisation through their official number from their website or consult with a trusted source like Vertex Security.
