Does Your Incident Report Include A Kill Switch?

There are three important aspects to having a single point of control and still having limited operating ability if your business is attacked. Proactively taking these steps will serve you and your business well.

  1. Have an incident response playbook that is up to date to reflect today’s cyber attacks.
  2. “Segmenting it to save it” is not only about data and networks but it includes user access, user authorisations and vendor management. You need to be able to segment all of them.

Lastly, think about having a kill switch that covers IoT devices, apps and operating systems in the event of an emergency that still allows you to manage back office functions.
